"advent atvent, die sonne brennt"

this is my frst pre-christmas time in a hot summer continent, and it is indeed very very strange to get into a christmas mood when you wear tshirts and skirts, and santa claus red woolen outfit doesnt match the current temperatures. christmas trees and mullet wine are very displaced here. okay, christmas in china is also not a tradition, but at least the frosty temperatures in BJ and the christmas market of the embassy matched somehow well. here i am wondering who is buying the ren-deer with lights to place in his garden among the banana & palm trees. my house staff is at least totally fancying the chritsmas songs playing out loud...tststs...
luckily i am leaving for christmas season this year to germany, spening 2 weeks with family & friends. one of my first urgent plans is to crash the christmas market, drinking mulletwine , packed in layers of sweaters and hat& gloves with a cold red nose.
