FLUSH!

GRIEFILM INC.’S LATEST PRODUCTION IS GOING DOWN THE “TOILET”

Feature documentary prepares for Fall 2006 release

TORONTO, CANADA (JANUARY 9, 2006) GRIEFILM is excited and pleased to announce its latest feature film production, the satirical documentary: FLUSH! OR HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE TOILET.
FLUSH! charts the history of the toilet and satirizes the issues surrounding one of our most basic human needs.

“Because of the recent successes worldwide of documentaries theatrically, it made sense for my next film to be a documentary, but one that could be engaging and entertaining,” says Writer/Director/Producer Ari Grief. “FLUSH! will appeal to a wide demographic given the universality of the subject matter. Everyone needs to use the toilet one way or another… we’re all equal in the eyes of the toilet.”

Production began in Spring ’05. With footage shot in China (!!!), India, Japan, Ireland, England, Canada and the United States, the film reveals global perspectives about where and how we do our “business.”

“When we need to do the… dirty deed, we go to the toilet, do what needs to be done, flush and voila, problem solved,” says Grief. “We are all amazingly well-versed in this type of problem solving. But the problem isn’t solved, it’s just passed on.”

Production is set to be completed by Spring 2006 with plans to screen its world premiere at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival.
